Our Story

The Bannockburn story began back in 2021 when we (Grant & Caroline Paterson) purchased a beautiful 90ha farm in the Waihi countryside. We moved from Cambridge early in 2022 with our three young kids and began beef farming. We’ve both got a passion for animal husbandry and have many years of experience working with animals in various industries between us. We’ve loved the shift to beef farming and nothing gives us more satisfaction than raising happy and healthy cattle. Times have been tough financially lately both in the farming sector and for consumers, so it became a logical move for us to endeavour to sell our previously exported beef directly to the local community. We’ve noticed a conscious shift in recent years with people prioritising sourcing their food locally and we are excited to be able to offer delivery of homegrown, fresh, good quality meat within the Waikato.
